We went on a non-RV trip this week. We traveled to Las Vegas as my wife attended a work related conference. It was a good and safe trip. It also reinforced to us that our preferred method of travel is via RV.

As long as your obey the traffic laws, there are really no security checkpoints, with the possible exception of maybe a few agriculture checks or entry points into Canada/Mexico.

I also get a much larger seat than a tiny airplane seat and a bigger bathroom as well. I am not a big fan of cabs either.

The Venetian is a large resort on the Strip of Las Vegas

We stayed at the Venetian for the 3rd or 4th time. It is very nice resort with very large suites. We remarked that the suite was nearly as large as our casita here in Florida. It was certainly bigger than our motorhome.

There is certainly a lot to do a see while in Las Vegas. A few years ago, we visited with our kids and did a lot of activities in and around Las Vegas. Getting off the strip to Area 51, the Hoover Dam, or Red Rock Canyon is great.

While it was a good trip, we were certainly ready to get back on the plane and get back to our homebase and continue preparing our motorhome for future travels. Living in an RV, even for an extended amount of time, is preferable to a hotel, even once as nice as the Venetian.

Neither my wife or I sleep as well in a strange place or bed. Why not be able to travel and and be able to take your bed with you? This is one of the advantages of RV Travel in my opinion.
